Bunny cake without the frosting
Heat oven to 350.
Grease & flour the bottom of 2 standard size round cake pans.
In a large bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add 1\3 cup sugar and continue to beat until peaks area stiff but not dry. Set aside. In another large bowl combine flour! 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add vanilla, milk, Crisco oil and egg yolks. Mix at medium speed 3 minutes, scraping bottom and sides of bowl.
Fold egg whites into batter until well blended.
Pour into pans.
Bake at 350 for 25- 35 minutes, or until center springs back when touched lightly. Cool 20 minutes before removing from pans. Cool completely before frosting.
