Easy Barbecued Baked Beans

An easy and delicious recipe for barbecued beans, a great side dish for any picnic or barbecue.


2 16-oz cans Bush's Baked Beans; drained
3/4 cup KC Masterpiece barbecue sauce
1/4 cup Yellow onion; chopped
1/4 cup Green pepper; chopped
1 cup Smoked pork or brisket; chopped, or use bacon, fried crisp
2 tablespoons Honey
3/4 teaspoon Paprika
1/4 teaspoon Dry mustard

Original recipe makes 8



Fold together all ingredients in a large bowl. Transfer to an aluminum baking pan (I use a loaf pan). Place in smoker, uncovered at medium heat (225?-250?) for about 60 minutes or until heated through.

(Next time you smoke a pork butt or brisket, put some away in a freezer bag for later use in your beans).
