This caramel sauce is quick and fool proof, it has a perfect consistency for drizzling out of a squeeze bottle.
Mix the brown sugar, half-and-half, butter and salt in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook while whisking gently for 5-7 minutes, until the caramel starts to thicken. Add the vanilla and cook another minute. Turn off heat, cool slightly, then pour the caramel into a glass jar or squeeze bottle for easy dispensing. Refrigerate.
