Ready in 45 minutes
Easy elegance: Browned chicken is added to a creamy mushroom sauce richened with sour cream and seasoned with paprika and red pepper.
Heat butter in skillet. Add chicken and brown on both sides. Take chicken out and place into a greased casserole dish. Add soup into skillet along with paprika and ground red pepper. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes. Stir in sour cream and then pour over chicken. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 covered with foil.
Serve with spatzle or buttered noodles.

leannschlechtylohi 3y agoThis recipe was ok. The flavor was good, but the sauce was pretty thick even though I added water to the soup mixture. Also, I don't think I will bake it next time. Seems unnecessary. I think I will cut up the chicken and just do it all in the pan.

susanjm 10y agoThis was very tasty. I used bone-in chicken thighs, so I increased the baking time to 45 minutes and they were perfect. I also added a bit of white wine and some garlic to the sauce. Really easy and really good!

vodka0825 10y agoOne of the best chicken recipes I have ever tasted! I have prepared this dish twice now and the second time I added curry instead of paprika and light cream cheese instead of sour cream, it was heavenly!
