Simple, quick and delicious fruit crunch cake stolen/modified from my idol, Paula Dean!


1 box Yellow Cake Mix
1 can Crushed Pineapple; (with juice)
1 can Favorite Pie Filling; (blueberry or cherry is great)
1 cup crushed Pecans
1 stick Unsalted butter

Original recipe makes 10



Grease cake pan

Pour in 1 can crushed pineapple with juice

Layer on top 1 can of your favorite pie filling

Cover (evenly) with DRY yellow cake mix

Drizzle melted butter over mix

Sprinkle with crushed pecans (or other favorite nuts...or none at all)

Bake at 350 for approximately 40 minutes

This was different for a 'fruitcake', but it's pretty darn good I used a mixed Berry cake mix, and some fresh cut mangos to it.
