Ready in 1 hour

This is a simple candy to put together in a hurry. Done in the microwave!

1 cup peanut butter (chunky or smooth)
1 stick butter or margarine
2.75 cups powdered sugar
1 cup chocolate chips
1 tablespoon Margarine or butter

Original recipe makes 20

1. Combine peanut butter and cube of butter in a large glass bowl. Microwave on high 1 1/2 minutes or until peanut butter and butter are mostly melted. (Can also be done on top of the stove). Stir in powdered sugar. Mixture will be thick and difficult to stir. You can mix the powdered sugar in with your hands when it gets too hard to stir with a spoon. Spread in a 9 inch glass dish.

2. Combine chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon butter or margarine in glass bowl. Melt in microwave or in a pan on top of the stove. Mix well. Spread over peanut butter mixture. Refrigerate 1 hour or overnight, to set the chocolate. Bring to room temperature before cutting into small squares.

It's a great recipe! Extremely easy for a non-cook like me! I'm just really puzzled with the 2 3/4 cups of powdered sugar though. What do we use it for?
