Suggest a better descriptionIn a 3 qt saucepan, melt butter, add evaporated milk and sugar and bring to soft ball stage (235 on thermometer). Remove from heat and add the remaining ingredients. Beat with mixer until the mixture begins to harden. Pour into 9x11 pan and cool before cutting into squares.
We omit the vanilla and the nuts.
