"It was a hit at my holiday party! After reading the comments of users of this recipe, I also added the last cup of cheese until the last 10 minutes of baking to make it crunchier on the top. I also sprinkled Italian bread crumbs at the same time. This gave it a lot of good flavor baked into the top layer of cheese. I also baked my macaroni and cheese in a 13 x 9 glass dish instead of the recommended dish. It worked out fine."
Layer one third of macaroni in a lightly greased 2-quart baking dish; sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups cheese. Repeat layers once; top with remaining macaroni.
Reserve remaining 1 cup cheese.
Whisk together eggs and next 3 ingredients until blended; pour over macaroni.
Bake covered, at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Uncover and sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cheese and paprika.
Cover and let stand 10 minutes before serving.

adina1029 12m agoVery good recipe! As someone else stated the only thing that is needed is a little less salt. This is very simple and delicious.
billmc44 1y agoThis macaroni and cheese is so good... Reminds me of my mama's! We had it with a big combination salad for our meatless supper on Good Friday. It may not be health food, but it sure is comfort food!

rozellaboyce 3y agoUsed aged white cheddar, gouda, colby, and monterey jack. It was a hit and it cut down on the oil from regular cheddar. It was a hit with my family.
mimi6511 3y agoMade as part if Easter dinner. Everyone loved it. I added crushed ritz crackers mixed with melted butter on top for the last 10 min. Uncovered. Had to let side for about 15 min to let mac and cheese set. It was great.
