"I liked the oregano. Just added something in the background. I doubled the recipe and deleted the tomato purée. Just added more ketchup to compensate. I would agree they were crumbly which made grilling a challenge. I think I'll add more bread crumbs next time and see what that does. "

3 tsp fresh cilantro; finely chopped
2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
3 tblspoons Ketchup
2 tblspoons tomato puree
1 clove garlic; finely chopped
1/2 cup green onion; finely chopped
1 teaspoon Salt
pepper; to taste
1/3 cup Bread crumbs
1 Egg; lightly beaten
1 teaspoon dry oregano
olive oil
8 hamburger buns
fresh lettuce; and sliced tomato to serve

Preparation

1.- Preheat a large skillet (or you can use a grill and reduce the calories content)

2.- Mix all first 12 ingredients in a bowl.

3,- Form 8 patties about 1 centimeter thick

4.- Add a little oil and fry the patties to your liking.

5.- Place the meat on the hamburger buns and serve warm with mayo if you want and lettuce and tomato.

Just horrible. I tried two in the skillet, two in the George Forman, and two on the grill. All methods were fails. This recipe is bad and you should feel bad.

I thought this was a pretty good recipe that I would make again. I did not add the tomato puree, and I did not add green onions but chopped white onions as well as a teaspoon of cumin. My husband said they fell apart a bit on the grill so I will try making ahead next time. I would definitely make again.

Great recipe. Better than the normal plain Jane, bland burger. I am going to try adding oatmeal to make it a little more firm. Otherwise a great recipe.

Worst recipe for hamburgers ever. Terrible taste. Terrible texture. I was embarrassed to serve.

Interesting flavors, kids didn't like at all. Wife and I decided worth trying again. Left out green onion and tomato puree, had no problem staying together on grill.

These burgers were definitely tasty, but they didn't hold together very well. At the suggestion of one of the other reviewers, I mixed the ingredients in the morning and then let the meat mixture sit in the refrigerator for several hours in the hopes it would give the patties more cohesion, but they fell apart pretty quickly after cooking. Nevertheless, my husband and I loved them, but my kids didn't like all the green onion bits.
