Simple banana bread recipe that requires only one bowl and no mixer needed!

"Mmmmmm! Outstanding! We had 2 bunches of way overripe bananas that we put to perfect use in this recipe! I coated the pans with shortening and brown sugar and sprinkled a bit on the top of each loaf, along with slivered almonds. What a fantastic dessert bread! Perfect, straightforward recipe. I'll certainly make this again. My whole fam loved it!

I'm going to tell you right now, that I have been using this recipe for years. At least since I was in high school, and I am now 24. I love it. Everyone loves it. Easy to modify for what you want. I routinely cut out a cup of sugar, and you can easily use regular or brown sugar. I have made both, and typically use a cup of each. Have done slivered almonds on top. It's good, but I usually don't do it because I have a close friend allergic to nuts. Also, smashing bananas is fun. :)

I think 3 cups of sugar is way too much. Looks easy though, will try it..

Just a note: 1 cup of banana is approximately 10 oz or 284g. But I like using a little more banana than what is called for.
