"This dish was pretty tasty! I altered it a bit. I seasoned the chicken with sazon and adobo before cooking it. In a skillet, brown chicken in oil; pour off fat. Add broth, tomatoes, onions, garlic, salt, turmeric, pepper, crushed red pepper (if desired) and bay leaf.
Cover; cook over a low heat 15 minutes. Add remaining ingredients.
Cover; cook 30 minutes more or until chicken and rice are tender; stir occasionally.
Remove bay leaf & serve.

dlb555 5 months agoEasy and perfect recipe to use I only added hominy and marinated chocked for 30 min in lemon juice , soul salt and paprika with coconut water & it was beautiful.
Mattdylan 10 months agoThis dish was absolutely delicious! The whole family enjoyed it. The only thing I did differently was doubled the amount of ingredients bc I have a large family and used one can of regular diced tomatoes and one can of zesty jalapeño diced tomatoes. Perfect little zip!

msanders93 1 year agoVery good! I substituted one can of Ro-Tel tomatoes and I left out the peas because I didn't have any in the house. Can't wait to make it again!

MauraSpeckt 1 year agoThis is a wonderfully simple and great recipe! It is so delicious that there is never any left unless I double it. The kids and husband love it, it is on my family dinner rotation and served to company too!
