Top-ranked recipe named "Arroz con Pollo (Spanish Rice with Chicken)"
Easy, simple, and full of flavor. Just like Oma used to make =)
"This dish was pretty tasty! I altered it a bit. I seasoned the chicken with sazon and adobo before cooking it. Also, I didn't have any chicken parts so I used boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into 1" pieces. I added a pinch of red pepper flakes to give it a little kick. Very tastey!"- jenniferoliveira
In a skillet, brown chicken in oil; pour off fat. Add broth, tomatoes, onions, garlic, salt, turmeric, pepper, crushed red pepper (if desired) and bay leaf.
Cover; cook over a low heat 15 minutes. Add remaining ingredients.
Cover; cook 30 minutes more or until chicken and rice are tender; stir occasionally.
Remove bay leaf & serve.
I keep a number of hot sauces on hand and sprinkle on to the plated dish liberally at tableside. My favorite on this dish is a fantastic sauce from Costa Rica called "Lizano Sauce". Choose your own hot sauce and make this dish your own!
dlb555 2 months agoEasy and perfect recipe to use I only added hominy and marinated chocked for 30 min in lemon juice , soul salt and paprika with coconut water & it was beautiful.
Mattdylan 6 months agoThis dish was absolutely delicious! The whole family enjoyed it. The only thing I did differently was doubled the amount of ingredients bc I have a large family and used one can of regular diced tomatoes and one can of zesty jalapeño diced tomatoes. Perfect little zip!
foodieluv23 9 months agoOh yeah! And I added crushed red pepper and chices mixed in a blender with a bit of water for a little kick.
msanders93 9 months agoVery good! I substituted one can of Ro-Tel tomatoes and I left out the peas because I didn't have any in the house. Can't wait to make it again!

MauraSpeckt 1 year agoThis is a wonderfully simple and great recipe! It is so delicious that there is never any left unless I double it. The kids and husband love it, it is on my family dinner rotation and served to company too!
Tempor 1 year agoMy kids loved it and all gave it 5 stars. I had to leave out the peas as they are not too keen on them but I added them into my serve and it tasted great.
rosemarycallahangray 1 year agoVery good, though next time I may need to up the spice.
