PLACE flour, baking powder and salt in food processor; processes it for 5 seconds. Add the butter, processing until the mixture resembles cornmeal. Add the hot milk with the machine still running, process the dough until it becomes a ball. (You might have to add a tablespoon or so of water.) Bring the dough to a floured surface, knead for a few seconds. Cover with plastic wrap, let stand for 30 minutes.
Filling:
In a frying pan heat up the oil. Then add the finely chopped onion when golden brown add the diced chicken.
Add salt and pepper.
After a few minutes add the white wine and cook for 10 minutes until it is slightly reduced, then add the cream, and allow it to reduce for appx. 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 395 F.
Roll out the dough, to whatever size you want, and place appropriate amount of filling inside so that you can still fold the dough over and close the edges, by folding over.
Place empanadas on a lightly greased cooking sheet, paint with beaten egg.
Cook for 20-25 minutes or until outside is golden brown.
Give yourself some extra time the first few times you make them
