Non Edible
Crush the roses with a mortar and pestle; put two tablespoons of the crushed petals in a half bottle; cover with oil and vinegar or vodka. Cork the bottle and place in strong sunlight. Shake the bottle at least once a day; let sit for a few weeks. Strain the petals and repeat with fresh ones. The oil is ready when it smells strongly of rose.
Use the oil in potpourri, rose water, or as a fragrant oil for perfume or body massage.
In very warm weather you need not use a corked bottle;you may instead use a ceramic bowl and leave it in the sun.
