Suggest a better descriptionAdd ingredients per your machine and set the dough cycle. Add cherries at the fruit beep. When the dough is finished, take it out to a floured surface. Knead for 5 minutes while adding in white chocolate chips. The cherries and chips will break the surface, add them back as they do.
Set the dough aside, cover with a towel and rise 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400. I add a cake pan on a lower rack and a cast Iron skillet or two to hold temp.
Prep an egg wash if you want and set up your pan. I use a baking sheet with parchment paper.
When the dough has risen, carefully transfer it to your baking pan, take a dry brush and carefully remove excess flour. Then I brush the egg wash and cut the dough to allow for initial rise.
When I put it in the oven, I add 2 cups of water into the cake pan to create an initial burst of steam and simmer as the bread bakes. Close the oven door and drop the temperature to 350.
Bake 25 minutes.
Remove and cool before cutting. Enjoy with jam or softened butter.
