Shallow fried fish patties
1. Boil potatoes. Peel and mash when cooled. Keep aside
2. Rub fish pieces with salt and red chili powder. In a pan, add little water with the fish and cook covered till done, about 3-4 minutes. Remove fish from pan
3. In same pan, heat oil and fry the onions till translucent.
4. Add ginger garlic paste and green chilis and saute.
5. Add fish and saute for a few minutes till liquid evaporates. Mash the fish with a spoon.
6. Add mashed potatoes and saute till well mixed
7. Once the fish mixture cools, add a beaten egg and the bread crumbs and combine well
8. Shape into flat patties and fry in batches in a flying pan, flipping over till both sides are browned
9. Serve hot with mustard sauce
