This is the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

"The cake by itself is a bit spongy for my liking, but otherwise this is amazing. When it was done I flipped it into a bowl, scooped some ice cream, and drizzled everything with chocolate syrup. The ice cream just gives it a lot more flavour than by itself. I would make it again but I might play around with the measurements a bit to tune it more to my personal taste."

Ingredients

Are you making this?
4 tablespoons Flour
4 tablespoons Sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips; (optional)
1 small splash vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Original recipe makes 2

Servings

Preparation

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips and vanilla extract, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high). The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

EAT!!!

Fun for my 7-year old to make, but definitely missing something. Maybe butter instead of oil? Will try again! Such a great idea.

Ours did not come out well, at all. May the size of the mug? It seemed like it cooked too long - dry in places and rubbery in others. I guess this is easy to overcook in a microwave.
