Simple grilling instructions for flat iron steak
Start grill, high heat. Salt and pepper steak, both sides. Grill 8-10 minutes each side till seared on outside ane medium rare in the middle. Cut across the short side into 0.25 inch strips. Serve.
Move steak around on grill to get hottest heat to the thickest part of steak. Sometimes the steak thickness can vary quite a bit on the same cut. It is possible to get medium rare to medium well out of the same piece. This works well for our family.
