Make sure to ask your butcher to special cut the steak for you from the big end.
1. Rub both sides of the steak with olive oil and season both sides liberally with salt and pepper. Let sit out at room temperature for one hour.
2. Preheat the grill to 450 degrees. Grill the steak on one side for 8 minutes. Flip and grill for another 8 minutes. Stand the steak on the bone and grill until the steak registers medium rare, 3 to 4 minutes.
3. Remove the steak to a platter, cover and let rest for 5 minutes. While the steak is resting grill the lemons, cut sides down, until fragrant and marked well from the grill, about 3 minutes.
4. Cut the steak from the bone in two whole pieces, reserve the bone on a serving platter. Slice each steak into 1/4-inch thick pieces. Reassemble the slices back to their prospective sides of the bone. Serve with the lemon halves to squeeze over the meat.
