Man, I love French dip. I have to admit that when I heard about having French dip with a crescent roll I thought it sounded like a terrible idea. Why would anyone want to ruin the perfect meal. But when I ate these scrumptious little bad boys, I was taken aback. Now I eat them a couple days a week. My cardiologist might have a problem with it, but I can’t resist. My ingredients might feel like I’m cheating (okay, maybe I am cheating a little bit, but who has time to make everything from scratch nowadays, right?), but this is the best I have for this recipe.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Take the crescent rolls out of the package and roll them onto a large cookie sheet. If you want to use horseradish, spread it on each crescent. Add as much of the roast beef and 2 pieces of cheese into each roll. Roll up the roast beef and cheese into the crescents from the wide end and until the narrow end is rolled up all the way. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes (depending on your preference). Serve au jus.
