Delicious on a cold winter night with toasted bread and a tossed salad.

Slice onions 1/8 inch thick. Melt butter, place onions in it and cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours. Add Beef stock, white wine and paprika; simmer 2 hours. Salt to taste.
Refrigerate over night. Reheat and serve with croutons and Swiss Cheese.

Expat 10 years agoI would have given this a five, but the directions appear to be mostly missing - when / how do you add the pepper, paprika etc.? I had to wing it and it came out OK.
stevemur 10 years agoWho doesn't like French Onion Soup? It's warm and delcious. Make this 24 hours ahead of time and pair with a simple tossed salad for an easy wintertime dinner.
