8 Dill pickles
1 1/4 tb Paprika
3 ds Tabasco
2 ts Garlic salt
1/4 c Beer
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Flour
1 1/4 tb Black pepper
1 1/4 tb Caynenne pepper

Here ya go Lynn...I havent tried it yet, but I do love fried pickles! And this recipe sounds like it has all the ingredients of the ones I have esp needs the pepper spices and tabasco.. Cut the dill pickles in slices bout as thick as a silver dollar. Mix the remaining ingredients to form the batter. Dip the pickle slices in batter and quickly fry in grease at 375 degrees F until the pickles float to the top, around 4 minutes. Wash em down with your favorite beer. I knew better than to use a recipe that clearly noted the poster didn't try it out yet. It needed a LOT OF TWEAKING...but I liked the idea of a beer batter. To sum it up, use less of ALL spicy ingredients and add more beer.

Fried pickles seem to be a 'Southern' thing. I'm glad I moved to the south.
