You need a good sandwich maker for this.
Fire up the sandwhich maker. Butter both slices of bread on BOTH sides. Press one slice in sandwhich maker, making a depression for the egg. Crack egg into bread and top with other slice. Close sandwich maker and cook until golden and set through.

Most people only butter one side of the bread, I have had raw fillings doing this but fillings have cooked through when buttering both sides.
Add ketchup to egg before toasting or after, your choice.
