This is very good and can fed a small group. Great for casual parties.
Brown the ground beef and drain. Add onion & greeen pepper and cook until tender. Add the BBQ sauce, mushrooms & salt. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Take the bottom half and scoop out center leaving 1" shell. Place half of the cheese slices in the shell. Fill in with the hot meat mixture. Cover with the rest of the cheese slices.
Place other half of bread loaf on top. Wrap in foil. Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes.
When done remove from foil and cut into pieces. Good for parties.
