Garlic Roasted Asparagus

Ingredients

2 pounds asparagus; tough ends trimmed, rinsed and patted dry
3 tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
1 1/2 tablespoons Garlic; minced
Salt
black pepper; Freshly ground
2 teaspoons Fresh Lemon Juice

Original recipe makes 8 Servings

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

In a large glass baking dish, toss the asparagus with the olive oil and garlic. Season lightly with salt and pepper, and toss. Bake until the asparagus are tender and lightly browned, 15 to 20 minutes, depending upon the thickness of the stalks, stirring twice.

Remove from the oven and toss with the lemon juice. Adjust the seasoning, to taste.

Serve warm or at room temperature.

I forgot to put the lemon on and it was still good! Next time I'm going to try a little more garlic

I never knew now to fix that vegetable. I love garlic, and know I knowhow to fix asparagus, I appreciate the recipe, I will fix it for Thanksgiving dinner instead of the original green beans

I add parmesan cheese sprinkled on top at the end of the cook time. Instead tossing with the lemon juice I just sprinkled on top of it .In this household we will be making again and again

Well it's almost Asparagus season here in NE Arkansas. We pick it fresh from our patch, I have never used lemon juice will try that next time. We eat it any old way. Love it!
