6 tb Sour-mash bourbon; or Dark rum
3 tb Sugar
2 Shallots; minced
1 ts Salt
5 cloves garlic; Smashed or chopped
1 1/2 lb Pork tenderloin
1 tb fresh ginger; Grated
3 tb Soy sauce

Original recipe makes 4



In a small bowl, mix together all ingredients except tenderloin. Place the marinade and the tenderloin in a zip top bag and refrigerate overnight. When ready to cook, remove the meat from the marinade and drain for 20 to 30 minutes. Discard marinade. Grill or broil the meat until done, about 25 minutes. Makes 4 servings. This was a big surprise for me, I couldn't bet on such a great taste. Everybody was enthusiastic. I had to share the recipe.

AWESOME taste for a tenderloin - would make a good dinner for company too. The rum and garlic and shallots made my refrigerator smell delicious for days.
