Ingredients

1 c Sugar
1/2 c Butter
1 ts Vanilla
1 c Evaporated milk
3 Egg yolks
1 c Pecan pieces
1 1/3 c Coconut

Preparation

Cook milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter and vanilla over medium heat. Stir constantly until thick. Add 1-1/3 cup coconut and 1 cup chopped pecans. Beat until thick to put on cake. ~End Recipe Export- ~Begin Recipe Export- QBook version 1.00.14

A wonderful classic! Double the recipe to have enough icing to fill and ice.

This recipe does taste very good but I have no idea how much time is needed to cook the frosting? Mine turned out more like fudge than frosting. Any ideas how much time is needed to make it gooey?
