Suggest a better description1) Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until well blended. Press mixture into an 8-or 9-inch pie plate.
***It is not necessary to bake the crust, unless your recipe specifically says to do so.***
If recipe calls for an UNBAKED PIE CRUST, chill crust for about 1 hour.
If recipe calls for a BAKED PIE CRUST, preheat oven (convection) to 160°C (325°F) and bake 5-6 minutes. Cool the crust completely before adding the filling.
If using a FROZEN OR REFRIGERATED PIE FILLING, put the crust in the refrigerator to chill while making the filling. The crust should chill about 10 minutes before adding the filling.
BAKED PIE CRUST: If using a conventional oven, adjust to 175°C (350 °F) and 7 minutes.
