Mix the first 6 dry ingredients together.
Beat egg and egg yolks together.
Add the water, butter, vanilla, and the egg mixture.
Beat lightly until mixed. DO NOT OVER BEAT OR CAKE WILL NOT RISE!!!
Pour into 2 greased and floured 8 inch round pans.
Bake @ 375 for approx. 45 mins. or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool.
Filling
Cook, brow sugar, cocoa, corn starch, water, and butter until thickened.
spread on top of cooled layer. place other layer on top.
Icing:
Cook sugar and water until stringy (about 10 mins.)
beat egg whites with salt and vanilla, gradually pour in brown sugar mixture and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
Spread on top and sides of cake making peaks on top
