After trying for several years, I finally managed to get the recipe for my grandmother's apple pie (still one of my favorites of her's). Well, I got the recipe for the filling anyway. The crust can be store bought.
Pare the apples and slice. Sift the dry ingredients together and mix with the apples. Put the apples in crust, slice the butter and put on the apples. Sprinkle lemon juice on the apple mixture then add the outer crust. Put slits in the crust and bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Then turn down to 350 and bake for 45 minutes.
