These are the biscuits my Granny used to make for every meal. My Granddad always used to tell me he taught her how to make them and then she perfected them.
Preheat oven to 450*.
Grease and flour a 9 inch glass biscuit pan.
In a large mixing bowl coarsley cut shortening into flour.
Create a well in the flour mixture.
Slowly add milk to mixture until dough is created.
To much milk will make dough to runny and sticky.
Also do not over work as it will cause hard biscuits.
Pinch dough rolling slightly creating 8 dough rolls.
Place into biscuit pan with sides lightly touching.
Press each dough roll slightly with knuckles to flatten tops.
Bake at 450* for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
Serve with melted butter and fruit preserves (flavor of your choice) or Honey.
