This is absolutely delicious! A very different flavor from most grape salds.

Ingredients

2 pound white grapes
2 pound red grapes
1 cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 8 oz Sour cream
1 8 oz Cream cheese
1 cup Brown sugar
1 cup pecans; crushed

Original recipe makes 8

Servings  

Preparation

Wash the grapes and remove the stems. Mix softened cream cheese and sour cream with sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Make sure it is well mixed. Stir in grapes. Put the brown sugar and crushed pecans on top. Refrigerate overnight.

Replaced grapes with 2 cans fruit cocktail & a can of mandarin oranges. I will still need to drain off some dressing, but it is absolutely delicious! And, it couldn't be simpler.

This is absolutely fantastic! I replace some of the regular sugar in the cream cheese mixture with some of the brown sugar. Helps carry the flavor throughout. This is an awesome dessert salad!!

Oh my gosh....it made a lot! Very expensive and fattening, too. My husband loved it, but I doubt I'll make it again.

First time i had this salad was this recipe only cool whip instead of cream cheese. I like it best, lighter very tasty!!!

I tried grape salad at my mother inlaws and feel in love with it. This is a great recipe and my children love it.

This cool, refreshing, almost dessert-like salad was simply delicious! It's extremely easy to make, keeps well in the frige, and was a big hit at our pre-Easter church potluck. I did make two changes to the recipe. I cut most of the grapes in half to release some of their juices into the sweet n' tangy cheese dressing, and secondly, I increased the vanilla extract to 1-1/2 teaspoons, as my family loves vanilla. This recipe is very similar to my Grandma's recipe, which I'll post, rather than explaining the differences. Anyway, I believe this wonderful dish would make a great appetizer, salad, OR dessert...I highly recommend you give it a try!
