"Made this for a Dove Chocolate party. Dove has a Smoky Chocolate BBQ sauce. We made this recipe with a 1.7lb piece of top sirloin London Broil from our local butcher and it was top notch! The flavor was solid but not overwhelming and it was light enough to use with the BBQ sauce for taste-testing.
I even cooked 1/2 the meat 5 minutes longer per side for well-done and it was still excellent.
I will use this recipe the next time I make London Broil.
Mince and mash garlic to a paste with salt, then in a blender blend with remaining marinade ingredients. In a sealable bag combine meat with marinade.
Seal bag, pressing out excess air, and put in shallow baking dish. Marinate steak, shilled, turning occasionally, at least 4 hours and up to 24.
Bring steak to room temperature before grilling, about 1 hour. Prepare grill. Remove steak from marinade, letting excess drip off, and grill on oiled rack 7 to 9 minutes on each side for medium rare. Transfer steak to a cutting board and let stand for 10 minutes. Holding a knife at a 45x angle, cut steak across grain into thin slices.

rjmcdowelljr 6 months agoabsolutely delicious. This will be used over and over. I cooked mine just a couple of minutes longer because some members of my family will not eat meat that is too pink. It still came out a really good medium in the center. Everyone in my family enjoyed it. I served it with steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes

hollynormannoberfield 1 year agoLondon Broil goes on sale pretty often in my area so when it does I stock up! As soon as I bring it home from the supermarket I whip up this marinade right in a ziploc bag, add the London Broil and toss it in the freezer. I have an awesome easy to grill meal ready to go... and it marinates as it defrosts!
