Suggest a better descriptionGRILLED PEARS WITH MINTED HONEY GLAZE B: Veggie Life, May, 1999 S: Makes 4 servings 2 large firm pears 1. Preheat barbecue grill or grill pan to medium-high. 2. Peel and halve pears. Remove cores neatly with a melon bailer or a small sharp spoon. Leaving stem end intact, cut each pear into thin slices from base toward stem, so you can fan the slices. Brush pears, including cut edges, very lightly with oil. 3. Gently fan the pears onto the hot grill, stem ends toward you. Grill until tender and well marked, about 3 minutes per side. (Turn pears easily by sliding a large spatula underneath, starting from the uncut stem end.) 4. In a small howl, combine honey and mint. Warm slightly (about 10 seconds in microwave), drizzle over pear fans, and garnish with mint leaves. By "Karen C. Greenlee"
