Suggest a better descriptionIn large pan, cook potatoes and onion in boiling water until onions are tender. Drain liquid except for 1 cup which remains in the pan with the potato mixture. In small pan, melt butter. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add flour mixture to potatoes and onions. Cook and stir until mixture thickens and bubbles. (Watch carefully to avoid mixture sticking to pan.) Add milk, ham, cheese and cream-style corn. Stir over medium heat until cheese melts.
