Ready in 2 hours
This is a recipe that my mother used to make for company and it's become a favorite of my husband's as well.
In a skillet, brown pork chops in butter over medium-high heat. Transfer to a 2 quart casserole dish. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over pork chops. Cover. Bake at 325? for 1-1/2 hours or until meat is no longer pink. Serve over rice.
Slow Cooker Method. Place browned chops in bottom of slow cooker. Pour sauce over chops. Cover. Cook on high for approx 4 hours or until chops begin to fall apart. Serve over rice.
If you wish, you can skip the skillet browing and increase the cooking time in the oven or slow cooker. The chops will take slightly longer to cook, but it will save you time in the kitchen.

chrystinewardendimitryw7r1t9 1y agoI've made this recipe for years, only instead of chops, I use the bits and pieces on the ends of the pork loin, cut up into bite-sized pieces.
suerankin-lustre 2y agoUsed a can of juice pack pineapple - juice reserved, whole bell pepper sliced and a whole small onion sliced. Also used molasses and honey not Brown sugar. And ginger. Marinated pork in a bit of soy, ginger, and pineapple juice. Was really great!

Love7721 3y agoIt was ok. My husband liked it much more than I. I followed to a t other than I only had pineapple in juice not syrup and also added a lil crushed red pepper flake. Cooked it on low for 8 hours (while I was at work). Served over rice. Might make again but will have to try with syrup to see if it makes it a lil more sticky.
Martaaboas 4y agoI added whipping cream to make the sauce a bit milder.
