This is a scrumptious way to use apple, pears or both. Baking it off at the end adds just the most amazing touch that is truely mouth watering.
Prepare apples or apples and pears in sauce pan as you would make applesauce, don't forget to add your sugar and cinnamon as normal to this process. Pulse in food processor if necessary. Transfer into your largest casserol dish. Heat oven to 325 degrees. To the sauce add brown sugar, cider, cinnamon and cloves. Mix well. Place in oven and bake for 3 hours.
*****Stir every 30 minutes. It will get thick as you do this.
As this is cooking prepare water bath canner and wash all your jars and rings. Once butter is complete fill jars, wipe rims and add lids and rings. Place in water bath canner and process for 20 minutes. Once done, turn off burner and let sit 5 minutes. Once done, take out and cool on towel upside down until completely cooled and then turn right side up and label. Enjoy!
Don't get scared off by the apple cider vinegar. This is so good you will be scraping the casserole dish with your finger when all said and done.
