1 whole chicken; cut up
6 liters Water
1 1/2 tablespoon Salt
2 teaspoons Chicken bouillon
1 teaspoon Freshly-ground black pepper
1 large Onion; chopped
1 large Carrot; chopped
2 stalks Celery; chopped
1 cup Parsley; chopped fresh
1 teaspoon Basil

Original recipe makes 12



Place all the ingredients in a very large pot. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours. Remove chicken from the pot, remove the meat from the chicken bones and cut up any larger pieces of chicken and return all the meat to broth. Cook for another 1/2 hour. Serve hot and store the rest in the freezer. This recipe makes at least 24 servings.
