"i must confess, i tried this simply out of curiosity, and didn't really expect it to work out as well as it did....it was amazing, the salmon was nice and flakey, perfectly done, and the marinade was absolutely gorgeous, i'll definitley cook this again....brilliant"- blinkyboo
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine butter and brown sugar in a bowl, and microwave for 30 seconds until melted together. Stir in mustard, honey, and soy sauce.
Heat the olive oil in an oven-proof skillet over high heat. Season the salmon with salt and pepper, and add to the pan flesh side down (skin side up). Cook for 2 to 3 minutes (or until fully browned) and flip. Brush with half of the glaze and place the pan in the oven until the salmon is firm and flaky (but before the white fat begins to form on the surface), about 5 minutes. Remove, brush salmon with remaining glaze.
Glaze is great, keep remainder to add to salmon during dinner as it may need some extra.

Garcia09 7 months agoWonderful. I'm always looking for good fish recipes because I get in a rut. I cooked it completely in the cast iron skillet and not the oven.

aeljadue 8 months agoJust delicious, But I made a change.... istead of brown sugar I used generously Panela (sugar cane) I made it in a Colombian way, and I 100% recommend you to try this! Try with panela!!!
jannetf13 8 months agoSimply delicious!! I baked it for 25 min instead of using the pan and it turned out great. I didn't have soy sauce, put balsamic vinegar with salt as a substitute. It was very rich in flavor and the house smells delicious.
Lucy482719 9 months agoAbsolutely amazing! Halved the mustard amount as not a massive fan of the taste and it was just gorgeous. This has changed how we will eat salmon from now on!
Daydreamer1227 1 year agoThis was delicious!! I backed the salmon on aluminum foil instead of on the stove and it came out marvelous. My entire family loved it and are asking for it again. The subtle sweetness is what got me.
