Hot and Sour Fish Soup

Ready in 45 minutes

Fish broth spiked with pepper and lime. Fish or shrimp and veggies add body to the dish


1 1/2 quart Basic Fish Stock; - See separate recipe
2 medium Limes; - Juiced & zested
2 medium Hot green peppers; Serrano - chopped fine
Chili paste
1 cup Brocolli slaw
1/2 cup Carrots; -shredded
12 large Shrimp; - 16-20 count
4 medium Green onions; chopped
1 medium Avocado; - diced
1/2 cup Croutons; - optional

Original recipe makes 6



Add the fish stock, lime juice, chilies, chili paste, brocolli, and carrots to a pan and bring to boiling. Simmer for 15 to 30 minutes. Add shrimp about 6-7 minutes before serving and allow them to cook in the broth. Add lime zest just prior to serving.

Garnish with avocado and green onions. Float a few croutons on top.
