Suggest a better descriptionCook sausage in iron skillet. Add onions and cook until clear. Add parsley and garlic and cook until parsley is lump. Add water and tomatoes (mashed with spoon), thyme, and salt. Bring to a boil. Add rice. Stir once and cover and cook on low heat. Do not stir again. You may check the mixture and lift with fork if sticking. If needed, add another 1/2 cup of water. Cook until rice is tender, approximately 30 minutes.
