(Chickpea Dip) #06

"Great recipe, this had the perfect proportions of chickpea, lemon juice and tahini."

2 (15 oz) cans Chickpeas; one drained
1/2 cup Tahini; (sesame seed paste)
1/2 lemon; juice only
2 cloves Garlic
1 dash Cumin

Original recipe makes 8 Servings

Here's the recipe I use. I think it originally came from the Frugal Gourmets first cookbook, but Ive adapted it to my own tastes over the years... Blend everything together in a food processor or blender. Adjust seasonings to taste (I often add more garlic and lemon, very rarely salt). Serve with warm pita bread and veggies.

BTW: NEVER make it without the tahini. It just isn't the same! JN1T+@ANDREW.CMU.EDU (JENNIFER A. NEWBURY) REC.FOOD.RECIPES From archives. Downloaded from G Internet, G Internet.
