Add potatoes, carrots, onions, in that order into big pot with water to just cover, season with white pepper. Bring to a boil, boil until ingredients done, about 20 mins. Drain extra water, mash.
Served with smoked beef sausage and mustard.
How much you use does not matter, use about the same amount of potatoes as carrots, and about a quarter onion. Make as much as you need for your family.
