Italian Green Bean Casserole

This is a green bean casserole with an Italian twist.


2 cups fresh green beans
1 fresh cut basil
1 dash salt
1 cup italian stlye bread crumbs
1 cup parmasean cheese; shredded
1 cup mozzarella cheese; cut into 1/2 inch cubes
3 tbsp butter
1 cup cherry tomatoes; cut in half

Original recipe makes 6 Servings



preheat oven to 375, grease a 9x9 ( or similar) casserole dish and set aside

Cut the ends off the green beans and boil until tender 10-15 minutes. spread 1/4 cup bread crumbs across the bottom of the dish. mix cheeses, tomatoes, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, green beans, salt and basil. Put mixture over the bread crumbs in the dish. sprinkle the rest of the bread crumbs on top and a little Parmesan cheese on top. Cut butter into 6 chunks and place over the top. bake for 20 minutes
