"I've made meatballs before and I always thought that I had "the secret" down pat, but I followed the recipe and was really surprised at how great this sandwich was. Thankfully, I made enough for lunch tomorrow!"
Beat egg lightly in large bowl. Add beef, sausage, bread crumbs, cup tomato sauce, onion and bell pepper: mix well.
Form into one inch meat balls and place in 9 x 13 in baking pan. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes. I drain them on paper towels to reduce the fat content and add to heated spaghetti sauce. Serve hot on your choice of buns with mozzerella cheese. I use a double batch of (Italian Herb Bread) recipe found at this site and shape into 8 buns. Enjoy!

triciascott 3 years agoThis was really good! I substituted the beef with turkey, no sausage or green pepper, and added fresh chopped garlic.
Jujufroggiebaby 3 years agoJust made this for lunch and it was absolutely amazing! We like our sandwiches sloppy so I added the left over tomato sauce to the spaghetti sauce. So good! Thanks for posting:-)
