Another "Jamaican Jerk Seasoning" recipe ranks higher.
This is a most delicious Jamaican Jerk Seasoning that you can use as a rub, in a marinade, or whatever you like.
Note: this recipe does not contain any salt because it can be used in a marinade with soy sauce for example. Add salt as needed when using for a rub or a marinade that doesn't already have a salty ingredient in it.
[Note: The weight of the combined, non-adjusted, dry ingredients below--not including salt--is 60 grams. (This is just a note for the author to scale dry ingredients by weight.)]
"All my friends love this seasoning; I make up jars for them as gifts. It's quite delicious and even great for a rub on a roasted chicken (along with some kosher salt rubbed on)."
Grind all the spices together and store in a jar. Add salt to taste for whatever you are using it in.
