Suggest a better descriptionHeat 1 tablespoon of peanut oil in a large heavy dutch oven over medium heat. Brown the chicken and sausage with cajun seasoning and chili garlic sauce. Remove from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add remaining peanut oil and saute onion, bell pepper, and cellery until tender. Stir in crushed tomatoes, and season with red pepper, salt, hot pepper sauce, black pepper, worchestershire sauce, and file powder. Stir in chicken and sausage. cook for 10 minuites stiring occasionally.
Stir in the rice and chicken broth, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is cooked. add shrimp and cook a few more minutes until warmed through.
Jambalaya will be pretty spicy prepared as directed. Adjust hot ingredients to suit your own taste.
