My Dad's wonderful Sloppy Joes. We grew up with this recipe and it is definitely a household favorite.
1. Brown onion and green pepper in vegetable oil in a skillet. (Onions should start to look translucent.)
2. Add the hamburger and brown. Salt and pepper to taste.
3. Add the remaining ingredients and cook on low heat for 15-30 minutes.
(Note: 16 oz Ketchup may be used instead of the tomato sauce and brown sugar.)
I personally use ketchup and a little brown sugar, as I like it sweeter.
Add some Cayenne pepper for a little kick!
