Sausage and garlic bread make this a great new tradition.
Bake Texas toast at 425(F) for 10 minutes. Cool and cut into 1-1/2in pieces.
Lower oven temp to 325(F).
In large skillet, brown sausage, crumbling. Drain and remove from skillet. In same skillet, melt butter and cook onion, celery, and green pepper.
In large bowl mix sausage, bread cubes, and vegetable mixture and sage. Add eggs and broth and toss gently. Spoon into buttered 4 qt baking dish.
Cover and bake at 325(F) for 1hr. Uncover and bake 10min longer.
