This recipe comes from my sister in law, Karen. One bite, and I told her it kicked ass. Hence the name.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Take the apple slices and put them into a heavily buttered 9x9 baking dish.
Take a little extra cinnamon and sugar and sprinkled them on the apples (this is optional).
In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients completely. Add the butter, and because it's fun, mix everything thoroughly with your hands. Go on, don't be afraid. If you don't like getting your hands dirty, you shouldn't be cooking.
I digress.
Take the mixture and press it onto the top of the apples. Try to cover as much as you can, but if you can't, it's ok.
Put the pan into the oven. Cook for an hour, and check on it. The apples will cook down a bit and the top will brown slightly. When you see some bubbling going on, follow your instinct, but it isn't much longer. Your kitchen will smell wonderful and you will have a wonderful apple crisp waiting for you.
Note: Self control may be an issue. You may want to nom this into oblivion. While I understand, I do not recommend this.
