Mom's Key Lime Pie
Whip together until light and creamy (regular electric beater, medium high speed, about eight minutes). Add 1/2 cup of lime juice. Let rotate at low speed for one second. Fold a few times with rubber spatula to be sure juice is thoroughly blended. Pour into baked pie shell, let stand. Beat six egg whites with one tablespoon cream of tartar five full minutes. Add one cup sugar, beat five full minutes, put on pie and brown in oven at 350 degrees. This makes two eight inch pies or one large 10 or 12 inch pine. Follow these instructions carefully.
